Locating Nostalgia
This is a practice based dissertation project, focusing on capturing places within collage art. I have split the dissertation into three ssections, the first part focusing on materials and colours, the second part on storytelling through collage and the third is my own practical element. For this section, I have used photographs from places I have visited in my childhood, and collaged them in the style of Jelle Martens, using block colours taken from the images. These four places were put together and printed onto a quilt, symbolising a comforting element.
